Films You Should Watch This Halloween!

Hey guys! First of all, HAPPY HALLOWEEN! :) whether you're trick or treating, pumpkin carving or having a quiet one today, I hope you have an amazing day. Now, thanks to today's ITV's This Morning, I thought I'd do a Halloween themed film post as I don't seem to have many film posts so this would be a pleasant change! With Halloween, the best movie selection involves a healthy mix of some horror films and some children's monster movies. Either way, a good line up is coming your way.. Let us begin!

1.  Monsters Inc (2001)

(source: ebay.com)

Let's be honest, this isn't just a children's film. I'm 19 and this is still one of my favourite Pixar films of all time.. Alternatively, you could wait for Monsters University (2013) which is due to be released in November!

2. Casper (1995)

We need a friendly ghost for Halloween, what a classic!

3. The Nightmare Before Christmas (1993)

Some watch this for Christmas, some watch it for Halloween..

4. The Addams Family (1991)

Need I say more?!

5. Scooby Doo 2 - Monsters Unleashed

What better kid's horror than Scooby Doo?!

6. The Ring (2002)

To this day, I am still terrified of this film!

7. The Purge (2013)

One of the latest releases to hit the shelves, would recommend a watch.Definitely puts a spin on reality and would could happen..

8. Paranormal Activity (2007)

Who doesn't love a haunted house?! Watch the whole quadrilogy if you dare.. Be warned, if you watch them in the order they should be in - 3, 2, 1, 4 - it may become scarier as it all makes sense! If you fancy something along the same lines, I would recommend The Blair Witch Project (1999)

9. A Nightmare On Elm Street (1978)

Or you could watch the 2010 remake!

10. Saw (2004)

Definitely a more psychologically thrilling horror, with extra gore on the side! Could go further and watch the entire collection, if you dare.. And have good control of your stomach

11. Insidious (2010)

After seeing the sequel recently, I would say this is a pretty good horror! Would definitely recommend Insidious 2 (2013) - explains a lot of the unexplained in the first! For my review of Insidious 2, click here

12. Scream (1996)

Seeing as this is one of the most popular masks around Halloween, why not see what all the fuss is about?! With the latest Scream 4 being shown on TV recently, why not relive the others?

13. House At The End Of The Street (2012)

Let's just say I don't look at my neighbours the same way after seeing this! You never know what happens behind closed doors... Scary

14. Sinister (2012)

Can't go wrong with a good horror, this is by far one of my favourites.

15. Halloween (1978)

Or you could watch the 2007 remake, along with the other Halloween films!

16. The Texas Chainsaw Massacre (1974)

Nothing scarier than the sound of a chainsaw once you've seen this.. With the recent release of the 2013 remake, definitely one to see

17. The Shining (1980)

Personally, I didn't find this overly scary. But I'd love to hear what you guys think!

18. House of Wax (2005)

(source: en.wikipedia.org)

You'll never look at candles or walk around Madame Tussauds the same way again..

19. Child's Play (1988)

(source: tvtropes.org)

Well, let's just say dolls have never been scarier once you've seen Chucky!

20. The Scary Movie Collection (2000-2013)

What better way to end a horror night with comedies which basically take away the horror of the films and, with the latest being released in 2013, you can round off your collection..

21. Woman In Black (2012)

Not even going to lie, I still have nightmares about this film

22. Final Destination Collection (2000-2011)

(source: kickass.to)

Possibly the only series of gore films I can actually watch without throwing up and a pretty interesting storyline!

23. The Human Centipede (2009)

(source: collider.com)

Say no more.. Very disturbing film

24. The Conjuring (2013)

25. Ghostbusters (1984)

Need I say more. My all time favourite film, 100% recommend!

Have a great Halloween, guys!
